Just visited my ninang sa kasal last night, a professor from college. She just came home from the hospital from a major stroke. She was in her old daster with unkept hair so I did not insist of having photos taken. None the less, I got her permission to post her case.
About her recent bout with stroke, her memory and intelligence is still intact. She can walk and do stuff, but she found it difficult to speak (enunciating and stammering). She is into meditation and other alternative healing so, the idea of me practicing hypnotherapy lit her up.
I put her into light trance, and let her go into the safest place she can think of at the moment. I was careful no to make her too relaxed as she had diabetes. It was just a light, pleasant conversation. She was wide aware. She told me of her afternoon travels into the afternoon clouds, as seen from her window at the 3rd floor. She described how light and free she felt. She was all smiling. She was feeling awesome.

And, lo and behold! She was talking fluently while on trance! Then I guided her to a moment in her life -during the peak of her career. Her eyes wide open, all-smiling. She remembered clearly her favorite class, what topic she discussed that day. Then I gently implied to her that she owned that moment -she owns the skill. That is she was a great speaker before, then she can always go back to it.

I recommended for her to keep practicing or even try to singing during her daily afternoon trances. She was so happy and rejuvenated after the session. Will do a follow up in a week.
